221,971英国大学生签名，学费必须因为新冠的原因退还

Quizlet的一项调查发现，86%的大学生认为他们应该获得全额或部分退款，因为Covid的限制了他们的大学学习体验。许多大学已将大部分教学转移到网上，只有在必要时才继续进行面对面的教学。学生们认为这对他们的学习和心理健康都有负面影响。根据Quizlet’s的调查，53%的学生认为混合学习“效果不好”或“非常不好”。每年支付高达9250英镑学费的英国学生并不觉得花的钱物有所值。一份呼吁政府要求英国大学在实施在线教学的同时退还部分学费的在线请愿获得了221,971个签名。

英国学生计划40年以来最大规模的房租罢工

目前至少有20种不同的房租罢工正在计划中，即使房间是完全空的，而且大学几乎不提供面对面的教学，但是会强制支付全额租金的罢工。

这次罢工也是对学生在封锁期间被强制关在宿舍的严厉措施的回应。

以上是剑桥大学在Twitter上面的需求，他们拒付租金，从现在开始，学生们承诺，除非要求他们提出的满足，否则将集体拒绝支付房租。

牛津大学、苏塞克斯大学、金斯密斯大学、爱丁堡大学、剑桥大学和伦敦大学等等都在计划采取类似行动，这将是40多年来学生因为房租的原因发起的最大一波罢工抗议，上一次出现这种规模的抵制是在上世纪70年代中期。

罢工组织者指责大学把学生当成摇钱树，鼓励他们支付学生宿舍的房租，而学生要么被关在宿舍里，几乎不能参加任何实际的课程，要么就住在家里，无法摆脱严格的租房合同。

此前，曼彻斯特大学的学生进行了大规模的租金罢工，学校最终妥协退还房租的30%。目前，这次罢工的组织者是大一年级学生，也在号召其他大学的加入，他们的任务是在本学年剩余的时间里获得租金减免。据悉，多达600名学生计划从明年1月起暂停支付房租。
